The Emirates Reprographic Rights Management Association (ERRA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice – Judicial Training Institute, organized a specialized workshop entitled “Copyright Governance in the United Arab Emirates: Advancing Legal Practices in the Era of Licensing and Emerging Technologies.” The workshop was delivered by ERRA’s Legal Consultant, Romika Chawla.
The workshop explored the latest developments in copyright governance, highlighting the role of collective licensing in strengthening legal compliance, while addressing the challenges posed by emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and digital transformation. It also emphasized the importance of advancing legal practices and enhancing the capacities of professionals to support a comprehensive framework for the protection of copyright and to foster a stronger culture of respect for intellectual property rights across the United Arab Emirates.
